Four people were arrested<\/a> in connection to an armed robbery of a Quality Inn after several robberies across two counties in South Carolina.<\/p>\nAn armed robbery at the Quality Inn was their last stop, however, when a gunshot ended it all.<\/p>\n
“All of a sudden he goes give me all your money, so I started pulling out bills and everything,” said Pat Coats, who was robbed at gun point.<\/p>\n
The robbery at the Quality Inn began at around 10:30 pm on Friday night. Twenty-seven-year-old David Dempsey entered the hotel lobby, demanded cash and nearly got away with 300 dollars.<\/p>\n
“I didn’t want to get shot as he was waving his gun around. He could have shot me anywhere,” Coats said.<\/p>\n
“On the way out I hear a pop, and the gun had gone off, and that tells me that’s real. He screams then starts limping, but there was a car outside and he got away pretty quickly. Karma got him by that gun going off.”<\/p>\n
Dempsey was arrested, along with\u00a019 year old Autumn Cooper, 21 year old Breanna Dudley, and 25 year old Bradley Parrish also accomplices.<\/p>\n
All four were taken to the Aiken County jail, the station reported. Dempsey received medical treatment first, the AP added.\u00a0Columbia County deputies had warrants out for Dempsey and Parrish.<\/p>\n
