<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to OregonLive:<\/p>\n “Dr. Larry Lewman of the Oregon state medical examiner’s office said retired Trail Blazers<\/a>\u00a0great Jerome Kersey<\/a>\u00a0died when a blood clot broke loose from his left calf, traveled to his lungs and caused a pulmonary thromboembolism.<\/em><\/p>\n “When a clot gets to the lung it seeks a vessel of the same size and they plug up,” said Lewman, deputy state medical examiner.
