TULSA, Oklahoma — A woman in Tulsa is charged with illegal dissection of a human body for allegedly cutting the body of a dead woman who used to date her boyfriend.<\/p>\n
The suspect, Shaynna Smith, walked into the funeral home and\u00a0found the woman\u2019s body, cut the woman\u2019s hair, smudged the corpse’s makeup and cut the woman\u2019s face, KOKI reported.<\/p>\n
The dead woman’s mother saw the suspect with her hands in the coffin and called police.<\/p>\n
Responding authorities\u00a0found Smith at the deceased woman\u2019s apartment. They\u00a0said the woman\u2019s son let Smith in because she told him she was getting jewelry for the woman\u2019s funeral.<\/p>\n
Authorities say Smith had\u00a0a knife with the woman\u2019s hair on it.<\/p>\n
Detectives are investigating and have not released a possible motive.<\/p>\n
Tulsa is the second-largest city in the State of Oklahoma and 47th-most populous city in the United States. As of July 2013 the population was 398,121, an increase of 6,215 over that reported in the 2010 Census.<\/p>\n
