WASHINGTON — An apparent road rage shooting left two people injured and one dead in D.C. Thursday morning on\u00a0 Interstate 295 near Exit 1.<\/p>\n
Reports say someone opened fire on an SUV, striking two individuals. One man was pronounced dead at the scene, another was taken to the hospital. The shooting occurred around 8:45 a.m.<\/p>\n
Police are searching for the suspect and ask anyone who witnessed the incident to contact investigators.<\/p>\n
FOX 5 Reports: “Interstate 295 is closed between the Maryland Line and exit 1 in the area of the D.C. Fire Training Academy and the sewage plant.<\/p>\n
Earlier reports described a chase involving officers as being related to the shooting, however, police say that incident was unrelated.”<\/p>\n
