CAPE CORAL, Florida — A Cape Coral Man is in Lee County Jail after attacking his roommate with a box-cutter.<\/p>\n
Last night around 7:30 PM,\u00a0Cape Coral Police responded to a disturbance at 1630 SE 40\u00a0Terrace. \u00a0While en route, Officers were advised that the suspect cut another male at the residence with a knife and fled on foot. \u00a0A BOLO was issued for John Herrick, 54.<\/p>\n
Investigation revealed that an intoxicated\u00a0Herrick and his roommate got into an argument about a dirty towel in the bathroom at their residence. \u00a0The argument escalated to a physical fight, during which Herrick armed himself with a box cutter that fell out of his work belt while they were fighting. \u00a0Herrick began slashing his roommate’s legs with\u00a0box cutter when the tide of the\u00a0fight turned against him. \u00a0Herrick then fled the home on foot.<\/p>\n
Cape Coral Police Department,\u00a0Cape Coral Fire Department , and LCEMS responded to the scene. \u00a0The victim was transported to\u00a0a local hospital for treatment. \u00a0Herrick returned to the home when he saw the ambulance and was taken into custody.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
