{"id":39002,"date":"2015-06-14T15:32:19","date_gmt":"2015-06-14T19:32:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/?p=39002"},"modified":"2015-06-14T15:33:50","modified_gmt":"2015-06-14T19:33:50","slug":"just-in-cnn-host-refuses-to-apologize-after-calling-dallas-gunman-courageous-brave","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/just-in-cnn-host-refuses-to-apologize-after-calling-dallas-gunman-courageous-brave\/","title":{"rendered":"CNN Host Refuses To Apologize After Calling Dallas Gunman &#8220;Courageous &#038; Brave&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(Scroll Down For Video) &#8212; CNN&#8217;s Fredricka Whitfield made a shocking statement Saturday when she described an attack on the Dallas Police Department as \u201cvery courageous and brave, if not crazy as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>People were outraged.<\/p>\n<p>In addition,\u00a0Breaking911 reported Saturday afternoon\u00a0that the Fort Worth Police Association was calling for Whitfield to apologize&#8230; and quick.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday afternoon, Whitfield very briefly addressed the incident but did not apologize to those she offended. \u201cI misspoke, and in no way believe the gunman was courageous, nor brave,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GhT_KYu6O_4\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fbdbN6TBx80\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MSp5xcp-fFM\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LmY_6xzxpW4\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XbpHbyCMl2M\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>DALLAS &#8212;\u00a0The suspect in an attack on Dallas police headquarters is believed to be dead after a police sniper shot inside of his van with a .50 caliber round.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_18_1_1_1434215883134_1192\">The shooting began just after midnight when a van, described by witnesses as an armored vehicle, rammed into police squad cars at the headquarters and someone inside opened fire.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_18_1_1_1434215883134_1196\">Police had earlier suggested there may have been up to four suspects, but police now believe that only one suspect shot from different angles and positions.<\/p>\n<p>Officers, staffers and perhaps others narrowly avoided being shot.
