There was a massive police presence at the\u00a0 La Quinta Inn and Suites on Route 3 in Clifton Wednesday.<\/p>\n
At least three suspects are holed up in the hotel. ABC7 reports they are wanted for armed robbery.<\/p>\n
SWAT and hostage negotiators are on the scene. It’s unclear if the suspects have any hostages.<\/p>\n
The details of the robbery and related incidents are unknown, but there are reports that an off-duty police officer may have been the victim, the report said.<\/p>\n
Traffic delays were also reported on Route 3 in the area. Bus service was delayed due to reported police activity around 5 p.m., according to NJ Transit.<\/p>\n
Clifton police, Paterson officers and Passaic County Sheriff’s Department officers were at the hotel.<\/p>\n
