SOUTHAVEN, Mississippi — Southaven police took a man into custody Saturday evening at the Snowden Grove Amphitheater because he was acting erratically in public.<\/p>\n

The suspect, identified as Troy Goode, later died at the hospital.<\/p>\n

Investigators said they were called to a disturbance on Goodman Road on Saturday.<\/p>\n

According to concert-goers, Goode was acting erratically because he overdosed on LSD after leaving early from the ‘Widespread Panic’ concert.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was under the influence and so the wife began to drive them home,\u201d Tim Edwards, the family\u2019s attorney, \u00a0told\u00a0a local news station.<\/p>\n

From WREG: At some point, Edwards said, Goode got out of the car and began running around.<\/em><\/p>\n

Southaven Police said they were called to a shopping complex on Goodman around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday.<\/em><\/p>\n

Police say they \u201cattempted to detain the subject who began to resist and run from them again. He was eventually restrained by Officers and transferred to an awaiting ambulance to be transported to the hospital.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThey showed up in force and subdued him,\u201d Edwards said. \u201cThey hogtied and put his face down on the stretcher.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Edwards claimed a witness heard Goode scream that he could not breathe.<\/p>\n
