NEW ORLEANS \u2013 The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 17-year-old man and injured a 4-year-old boy. The shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m., in front of a residence in the 5900 block of Boeing Street.
\nOfficers were called out to investigate a call of two males shot in front of a residence. When officers arrived, they found the unresponsive 17-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, while the young boy sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the arm. Both victims were transported to the hospital where the older victim died. The surviving victim is listed in stable condition. <\/p>\n
The investigation is on-going and detectives are actively investigating to determine a motive in the incident.

\nThe Coroner will release the identity of the victim after proper notification of family members.
