Secret Service personnel have been inspecting vehicles as they have been entering the event, where the Vice President was speaking on the minimum wage.<\/p>\n<p>The event is being held at Bobrick Washroom Equipment.<\/p>\n<p>From KTLA: <em>The man was entering an area near Sherman Way and Lankershim Boulevard that requires visitors to be checked by security when a police dog beside his vehicle alerted authorities to a firearm, said Sgt. Kyle Kirkman of the LAPD\u2019s North Hollywood division.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Authorities found a loaded gun under the car\u2019s passenger seat and detained the man. He had not been arrested, and his identity wasn\u2019t released.<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\" data-cards=\"hidden\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">LAPD detains a man at VP Joe Biden event in North Hollywood for having a gun.
