Surprise, AZ (August 13, 2015) Surprise Police have been working diligently to discover what occurred yesterday afternoon that caused the death of two men, a father and son, at a local family residence.<\/p>\n
The father, a 53 year old white male, has been positively identified as Silvio Alessi. The cause of his death is still to be determined by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office; however, the team of investigators discovered yesterday he had sustained blunt force trauma to his head. The weapon believed to have been used to cause the injuries was a hand-held hatchet. Silvio was found by responding officers in the living room area of the home.<\/p>\n
The son’s mother\u00a0called in the incident after she came home to find them injured.<\/p>\n
The son, a 21 year old white male, has been positively identified as George Alessi. George was found on the floor in the kitchen area of the home and had what appeared to be single gun-shot wound to his head. Also, a small caliber handgun was found on the floor nearby.<\/p>\n
George, transported by an air rescue unit to a local area hospital, was also later pronounced as deceased.<\/p>\n
