This comes after he was\u00a0arrested for the rape of a minor.<\/p>\n<p>43-year-old Doseau was discovered\u00a0with a plastic bag over his head at his parent&#8217;s home in\u00a0Canarsie.<\/p>\n<p>According to the NY Post:<em> &#8220;A hose attached to a nearby butane tank fed gas into the bag, asphyxiating the [Officer]..&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>An investigation into his death is ongoing. The NYPD hasn&#8217;t publicly commented on the incident.<\/p>\n<p>At approximately <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_378306310\"><span class=\"aQJ\">8:00AM<\/span><\/span> on <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_378306311\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Wednesday, August 5, 2015<\/span><\/span> in the confines of the 94 Precinct in Brooklyn, on-duty NYPD Sergeant Joel Doseau <a href=\"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/breaking-nypd-sergeant-rapes-minor\/\">was arrested.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>43-year-old Doseau was arrested on several charges, including the rape and sexual abuse.<\/p>\n<p>From CBS2: &#8230;<em>the sergeant met the girl when she was 15. It was not clear how long the relationship lasted, but it dated back to 2008 and involved only the girl, sources said.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The sexual performance charge is the result of the girl allegedly sending Doseau inappropriate pictures, sources said.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hrQkCLuL39s\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Doseau, who reportedly earned $101,000 last year with the NYPD, met the girl online when she was 14 years old.
