Amazing footage has emerged of a woman being rescued by firemen in Thailand after plummeting 16 storeys \u00a0from the top a high rise building.<\/p>\n

A huge inflatable crash mat is erected below and the jumping woman is seen landing safely on it, albeit with a sickening thud.<\/p>\n

The short video was recorded in Thailand – though it is not clear why the woman leapt from the tall building.<\/p>\n

The woman is first seen falling from a window of the set of high rise apartments while emergency services wait below.<\/p>\n

There they have inflated a giant safety mat which is designed to cushion her fall.
\nWith a loud thud, she lands on the mat and moments later she is dragged away by paramedics, firemen and police officers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Placing her on a stretcher to take her to hospital, she appears to be unconscious but without any visible signs of injury.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was not known why the woman jumped, but a crowd which has gathered on the streets nearby can be heard shrieking during her fall to ground level.<\/p>\n
