A firefighter from\u00a0Brookline has been arrested after police report that he beat up a homeless man for taking too long to order food at a restaurant. Police also said that the 37-year-old old Joseph Ward, of Boston, punched the man in the fact over five times, began to kick him and threw food at him outside of Anna’s Taqueria in Brookline on Sunday night.<\/p>\n
The victim was then taken to hospital with a laceration to his eyebrow, WFXT has reported that Ward did not answer the door on Monday night. He is currently charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.<\/p>\n
Town Administrator Mel Kleckner says officials are aware of Ward’s arrest and he’s been placed on administrative leave pending further investigation.<\/p>\n
