WATCH: (Scroll Down For Video) This is the terrifying moment an angry bull jumped over security barriers and ran wild in the stands, causing injury to at least four people.<\/p>\n

The terrifying incident took place during the closing of a traditional feast to celebrate the patron saint of Taraco, in the province of Huancane, Puno.<\/p>\n

The video showed the distressed animal charging at the stands in response to the spectators, who could be seen provoking it by throwing objects and beer at it.<\/p>\n

Suddenly the bull returns to run at the stand once again before picking up speed and leaping into a crowd of people after clearing the security barrier.<\/p>\n

Screaming can be heard as the animal lands on its feet and begins running wild among the people in the crowd.<\/p>\n

The panicked spectators run in all directions in a bid to get out of the path of the enraged animal and some can even be seen heading into the ring.<\/p>\n

According to local publication\u00a0Canal N<\/a>, several people were gored by the animal although none were seriously injured.<\/p>\n

The paper also reported that none of the bull fighters at the event had wanted to fight the bull, prior to the incident, due to its ferocity.<\/p>\n

The event is now being investigated by district authorities due to the lack of security present.<\/p>\n

Bullfighting is a popular sport in Peru with around 540 fights being organised in the country every year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
