This photograph shows the moment a team of firefighters performed CPR on a car they rescued from a burning house in New York.<\/p>\n
The black-and-white cat, named Kit Kat, was carried to safety as a blaze tore through the two-storey property\u00a0on 88th Street in Glendale, Queens, New York, on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
Dedicated police officers and firefighters took turns treating Kit Kat on the sidewalk before it was taken to a nearby animal hospital alongside a second cat rescued from the blaze.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n In one photograph, two uniformed firefighters are seen crouched on the ground next to Kit Kat as they stroke underneath its chin and try to open its airway.<\/p>\n Another image shows a police officer kneeling next to the cat as it lies unconscious on the ground.<\/p>\n Kit Kat and the other cat, named Jinx, were taken to a hospital run by BluePearl Veterinary Partners, where they were put in a special oxygen chamber and treated for smoke inhalation.<\/p>\n
