REDDING, California — Police in Redding are investigating the death of two children whose bodies were found in a storage unit.<\/p>\n

Last Friday, Tami Joy Huntsman, 39 and 17-year-old Gonzalo Curiel were taken into custody by the Plumas County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

They were booked into the Plumas County Jail on charges of: Felony child abuse, torture and mayhem. The victim\u2019s name is being withheld at this time.<\/p>\n

Further investigation ultimately led to the discovery of two deceased children inside of a storage unit in the city of Redding. The two juveniles have not been identified at this time. This case is being investigated as a homicide with an autopsy pending.<\/p>\n

The children were aged 3 and 5, KSBW reported.<\/p>\n

One girl who was found badly beaten and emaciated is in a Northern California hospital and underwent surgery, according to KSBW.<\/em><\/p>\n
