{"id":73730,"date":"2016-04-18T14:32:00","date_gmt":"2016-04-18T18:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/?p=73730"},"modified":"2016-04-18T14:32:00","modified_gmt":"2016-04-18T18:32:00","slug":"watch-nypd-officer-caught-on-video-appearing-to-choke-woman-during-traffic-stop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/watch-nypd-officer-caught-on-video-appearing-to-choke-woman-during-traffic-stop\/","title":{"rendered":"NEW VIDEO: NYPD Officer Chokes Woman During Traffic Stop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW YORK &#8212; (Scroll down for video) &#8212; In a short video posted to YouTube, a <a href=\"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/nypd-launches-autism-awareness-campaign\/\">NYPD Officer<\/a> can be seen apparently choking a woman during a traffic stop.<\/p>\n<p>According to The New York Daily News, the Officer in the video is now a lieutenant and the footage is more than two years old.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>A preliminary review of the video revealed that this is not a recent incident, however it has been forwarded to Internal Affairs for further review,<\/em>\u201d a police spokesman told the Daily News.<\/p>\n<p>On July 17, 2014, Eric Garner died in Staten Island, New York City, after a New York City Police Department officer put him in what has been described as a chokehold for about 15 to 19 seconds while arresting him.<\/p>\n<p>The New York City Medical Examiner&#8217;s Office attributed Garner&#8217;s death to a combination of a chokehold, compression of his chest, and poor health.
