{"id":79409,"date":"2016-06-20T23:30:28","date_gmt":"2016-06-21T03:30:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/?p=79409"},"modified":"2016-06-20T23:31:43","modified_gmt":"2016-06-21T03:31:43","slug":"ambulance-crew-fights-and-drives-wildly-through-subdivision-in-ambulance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/ambulance-crew-fights-and-drives-wildly-through-subdivision-in-ambulance\/","title":{"rendered":"Ambulance Crew Fights and Drives Wildly through Subdivision in Ambulance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Duluth, Georgia &#8212; Gwinnett County Police have arrested 22yo Kyle Lathon on numerous charges after he and his private ambulance crew member got into a fight that evolved into a reckless ride through a residential neighborhood in Duluth. Shortly before 7 pm June 15, 2016, police responded to a suspicious vehicle call at 4780 Cambridge Park Ct in Duluth. Numerous residents in the subdivision called 911 to report that an ambulance was driving through the subdivision at a high rate of speed and knocking down mailboxes. One of the callers also reported that one of the crew members had been stabbed and was inside the subdivision.<\/p>\n<p>Police made contact with the male and observed a large laceration on his leg. He claimed that he was not stabbed and that he received the laceration after jumping off the back of a moving ambulance. The man went on to tell police that he and his partner Kyle work for Med Care EMS Transport and had been arguing all day. They traveled to the subdivision to pick up a person and realized they left the wheel chair needed for the transport at the hospital. This caused additional tension between the two males. They went back to the hospital, picked up the wheel chair, and returned to the location. The driver asked Kyle to take the wheel chair to the passenger.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the request, Kyle got out, walked around the ambulance, grabbed him around his throat and pulled him out of the ambulance. At that point, Kyle pulled a knife and chased the male around the ambulance. Kyle then jumped into the driver\u2019s seat as the other male jumped onto the rear bumper of the ambulance. Kyle drove off at a high rate of speed as the other male clung to the ambulance. The male jumped off the bumper a short time later. Kyle continued driving through the neighborhood striking at least five mailboxes, a transformer, and a number of yards and curbs. Kyle returned the ambulance to Med Care EMS in Buford a short time later where he was arrested for the following misdemeanor charges: 5 counts hit and run\/striking a fixed object, 1 count reckless conduct, and 1 count criminal trespass.
