MARYLAND — Two flights required an emergency response at the Baltimore\/Washington International Airport on Monday.\u00a0Both incidents appear to be mechanical in nature.<\/p>\n

One flight declared an ‘alert two.’<\/p>\n

WJZ reported: “A BWI spokesperson tells WJZ that a Southwest plane that took off from the airport had to turn around due a overheated left engine. […]<\/em><\/p>\n

Moments before responding to the mechanical malfunction with the Sotuhwest plane another incoming plane issued an \u201cAlert Two\u201d for an unknown reason.”<\/em><\/p>\n

There were no reports of injuries.<\/p>\n
