BOSTON — At about 7:45 PM on Saturday July 9, 2016, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force made an onsite firearm and warrant arrest after performing a traffic stop in the area of Harold and Ruthven Streets in Roxbury.

The officers had stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction when they learned that the passenger Kesner Leneus, 24, of Boston, was wanted on an outstanding warrant for Disorderly Conduct.

While the officers were placing the passenger in custody, they noticed that the driver, Jeffrey Paul, 29, of Roslindale, was moving around in a suspicious manner inside the car.

The officers asked the driver to exit the vehicle, and as he stood up, a small silver firearm fell out of his shorts and onto the street.

Officers quickly recovered the gun, a loaded Raven .25 caliber handgun, and placed the suspect in custody without incident.

Both men will appear in Roxbury District Court for arraignment. Jeffrey Paul was cited for his traffic infraction and will be charged Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (2nd & Subsequent), Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
