{"id":82034,"date":"2016-07-25T07:50:01","date_gmt":"2016-07-25T11:50:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/?p=82034"},"modified":"2016-07-25T10:17:13","modified_gmt":"2016-07-25T14:17:13","slug":"2-dead-and-up-to-17-injured-in-florida-nightclub-shooting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/2-dead-and-up-to-17-injured-in-florida-nightclub-shooting\/","title":{"rendered":"2 Dead And Up To 17 Injured In Florida Nightclub Shooting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two people have been killed and 17 others injured in a mass shooting at a Florida nightclub.<\/p>\n<p>The shooting occurred outside Club Blu in Fort Myers during the early hours of Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Police have since detained three people.<\/p>\n<p>One witnesses reported that she heard around 30 gunshots from the area and thinks that they came from more than one weapon<\/p>\n<p>Initial reports indicate that the incident took place during a teen night at the club.<\/p>\n<p>Police have now confirmed that the shooting is not an act of terror.<\/p>\n<p>One of the victims father posted a video on Twitter regarding the incident;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Well, I just thank God that my daughter is okay. She could have been shot. She was dodging bullets and dropping between cars.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is ridiculous that kids have to go through this and they cannot enjoy themselves because you have people with criminalistic minds who want to terrorise people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The shooting happened at around 12:30 local time.<\/p>\n<p>A police spokesperson released a statement on the incident;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Fort Myers Police Department and Lee County Sheriff&#8217;s Office are actively canvassing the area looking for other persons who may be involved in this incident.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;At this time the scene is still very active as investigators and crime scene personnel attempt to determine what occurred.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two people have been killed and 17 others injured in a mass shooting at a Florida nightclub.
