{"id":8727,"date":"2014-01-31T08:30:09","date_gmt":"2014-01-31T13:30:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/?p=8727"},"modified":"2015-08-10T05:03:54","modified_gmt":"2015-08-10T09:03:54","slug":"breaking-suspicious-powder-found-at-nj-hotels-is-cornstarch-staceysager7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/breaking-suspicious-powder-found-at-nj-hotels-is-cornstarch-staceysager7\/","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING: &#8220;Suspicious&#8221; Powder Found at NJ Hotels Is Cornstarch  @StaceySager7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EARLIER&#8211; Authorities are investigating the delivery of packages containing suspicious white powder at six New Jersey hotels and a post office on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The powder was delivered to :<\/p>\n<p>Econo Lodge in Carlstadt, NJ<br \/>\nRenaissance Meadowlands Hotel, in Rutherford, NJ<br \/>\nHomewood Suites by Hilton in East Rutherford, NJ<br \/>\nHilton Hasbrouck Heights Meadowlands, in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ<br \/>\nCourtyard by Marriott Lyndhurst Meadowlands, in Lyndhurst, NJ<br \/>\nQuality Inn in Lyndhurst, NJ<br \/>\nRutherford Post Office, in Rutherford, NJ The Carlstadt Police Department says they got a call from the Econo Lodge at 11:30 a.m. saying someone going through the mail opened a letter with a suspicious powder on it.<br \/>\nCalls from other hotels started coming in shortly after.<\/p>\n<p>Police were able to locate the mail carrier where the letters came from and were able to intercept to additional letters headed to a Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express in Carlstadt that were never delivered.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI is investigating.<\/p>\n<p>Seven people will be transported to Hackensack Medical Center as a precaution.<\/p>\n<p>The New Jersey State Police released the following statement.<br \/>\nThe Joint Terrorism Task Force and Hazard Materials units have responded to several locations that have received a suspicious letter and substance. There are no reported injuries at this time, and the locations are being secured.
