NEW YORK — Two NYPD sergeants were shot during a gunfight in the Van Nest section of the Bronx Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
The scene is at Noble Avenue.<\/p>\n
One Officer was shot ‘more than ten times’ in the leg, according to PIX11. The other was struck in the head and later pronounced deceased.<\/p>\n
The incident began as a robbery\/home invasion call.<\/p>\n
Both injured officers were rushed to Jacobi Hospital–reportedly in a squad car.<\/p>\n
The suspect was shot and killed.<\/p>\n
