Couple Accused of &#8216;Extreme&#8217; Neglect of Young Children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Connecticut State Police Detectives Make Arrest In Killingly Child Neglect Investigation \/ News Release<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On July 21, 2016 Eastern District Major Crime (EDMC) detectives received a report from the Department of Children and Families (DCF) office in Willimantic reporting the neglect of three children located at a residence in Danielson.<\/p>\n<p>The report indicated that Nicholas Emory and Donna Rodeheffer of Danielson had three juvenile children ages 3, 5, and 6 under their care that were being neglected.<\/p>\n<p>DCF received a referral finding that the children were missing teeth, being malnourished, dehydrated, and all three children were still in diapers and not able to talk.<\/p>\n<p>The children were taken into the care of DCF and EDMC detectives responded to the residence and initiate a criminal investigation.<br \/>\nEDMC detectives spoke with family members and found that the children rarely left the residence and were had never been enrolled in school.<\/p>\n<p>After receiving medical care the children were found to be very underweight and determined to have been extremely neglected.<br \/>\nAfter conducting a lengthy investigation EDMC detectives applied for, and were granted, arrest warrants for Donna Rodeheffer and Nicholas Emory.<\/p>\n<p>On November 22, 2016 Donna Rodeheffer turned herself in to Troop D-Danielson. She was fingerprinted, photographed and presented at Danielson Superior Court.<\/p>\n<p>Nicholas Emory fled the state prior to the conclusion of the investigation and is currently being held in Arizona as a Fugitive from Justice based on Connecticut charges stemming from a Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Upon his return to Connecticut Emory will face charges for both this child neglect investigation and child pornography-related charges from the Computer Crimes Unit investigation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Connecticut State Police Detectives Make Arrest In Killingly Child Neglect Investigation \/ News Release On July 21, 2016 Eastern District Major Crime (EDMC) detectives received a report from the Department of Children and Families (DCF) office in Willimantic reporting the neglect of three children located at a residence in Danielson.
