Locating and arresting Arellano-Gutierrez is an enforcement priority for ICE\u2019s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) due to his violent criminal history.<\/p>\n<p>Arellano-Gutierrez&#8217;s criminal history includes a 2005 felony weapons conviction in Cook County, Illinois, for aggravated discharge of a firearm for which he was sentenced to six years in prison. He also has felony burglary and retail theft convictions out of Kane County, Illinois.<\/p>\n<p>ICE officers placed an immigration detainer on Arellano-Gutierrez while he was incarcerated at the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) Stateville Correctional Facility. He was released from IDOC to ICE custody April 16, 2013, and deported to Mexico May 1, 2013.
