The MHS rescue team raced to the site, found the Rottweiler mix and rushed him back to MHS\u2019 Mackey Center for Animal Care in Detroit.<\/p>\n<p>Once there, the shelter\u2019s veterinarian staff immediately began assessing the animal\u2019s injuries and working to make it comfortable.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-96969\" src=\"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/16114119_10154263486602849_6474938595532724900_n.jpg\" alt=\"16114119_10154263486602849_6474938595532724900_n\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/breaking911.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/16114119_10154263486602849_6474938595532724900_n.jpg 480w, https:\/\/breaking911.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/16114119_10154263486602849_6474938595532724900_n-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/breaking911.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/16114119_10154263486602849_6474938595532724900_n-315x420.jpg 315w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt appears that someone purposely maimed this poor dog, which has caused it a great deal of suffering,\u201d said Mark Ramos, one of MHS\u2019 lead cruelty investigators. \u201cThis kind of cruelty is unacceptable. We need to be a voice for these animals and as a community we need to speak through our strong actions to make sure this doesn\u2019t happen again. If you know anything about this case, call the MHS hotline now at (313) 872-3401 and help us find the person responsible.
