A 3 billion euro deal that was reached between Turkey and the EU to stem the migrant influx is still yet to have any impact.

Over 1.1 million migrants entered Germany during 2015 and experts have forecasted that the figure is set to rise.

Germany has said that it will take part in the NATO mission alongside Turkey and Greece.
