A man from Saudi Arabia has been arrested after wearing a costume of a woman displaying skin.
The morality police arrested the suspect who was dressed as a mascot for the opening ceremony of a sweet shop.
Pictures emerged on social media showing the mascot being detained by officers and placed in the back of a police car.
Saudi’s took took Twitter to express how bizarre the incident was, many using the #TheMoralityPoliceArrestingAdummy hashtag to make fun of the arrest.
Many commented on how the morality police were making a mockery of Saudi Arabia .
In Saudi Arabia, women have to wear long black cloaks in public spaces.
They are also banned from driving and cannot travel without authorization from a male.
The Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice is responsible for ensuring Islamic laws are not broken in public spaces.
According to the DailyMail, in 2002, the committee refused to allow female students out of a burning school as they were not wearing correct head cover, at least 15 died in the fire.
