NEW YORK — (Scroll down for video) — The owner of a Kangaroo named ‘Buster’ was visiting a friend on Staten Island when the critter got loose and led Officials on a wild chase.
Per Daily Mail: The jumping Joey was spotted bouncing around on the street outside of Alb’s Auto Repair Shop on Staten Island and a witness was able to shoot a brief video, according to NBC New York.
Police were called in to investigate where the kangaroo came from.
They discovered that it had escaped from its owner’s home.
After a brief hopabout in NYC’s least-populated borough, the kangaroo and its owner reunited.
Having a kangaroo as a pet in the city is prohibited but the kangaroo is legal in the upstate New York community where the owner lives, Pix11 reported.
The owner told police that he and Buster were headed home.
No charges were filed.
