NEW YORK — A young woman with severe burns all over her body was found dead in a bathtub in Queens early Saturday morning, police said.
Police responded to a possible assault call at the location around 4 AM Saturday and made the horrific discovery.
The crime scene is at an apartment complex on 90 Ave. in Jamaica, Queens.
Police are seeking the woman’s husband who may have boarded a flight for Guatemala at 4 AM this morning, the New York daily news reported.
The 28-year-old victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators believe the woman was doused with accelerant before being burned.
The woman was identified by the NY Post as Miriam Samayoa.
An exact cause of death is not known at this time.
No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
