SALEM, Oregon — The deceased victim in this incident has been identified as 47-year old Darryl Patrick Jones of Salem. The other three victims suffered non life-threatening injuries and are being treated at Salem Hospital. Due to safety concerns and the ongoing investigation, their identities are not being released at this time.
At the time of this incident, the nightclub was very busy with many patrons and employees present. Detectives have worked throughout the night and have determined that this incident does not appear to be a random shooting. It appears to have stemmed from an altercation involving one of the injured victims.
The suspect in this case is described as a Hispanic male adult in his 20s or 30s with a stocky build and bald.

Initial report: Salem Police Detectives are investigating a shooting at a nightclub that has left one victim dead and three others injured.
Salem Police officers were called to Stars Cabaret at 1550 Weston Ct NE at approximately 12:50 am on Saturday morning on reports of shots fired. Officers arrived to find four victims who had been shot, one of which later died at Salem Hospital.
The name of the deceased victim is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin. No arrests have been made and detectives are working identify everyone involved.
