11 Illegal Guns Recovered In Brooklyn Home, Man Arrested

Police officers recovered 11 guns from a house in Brooklyn after responding to a dispute on Thursday, June 1. Police Officers Peterford and Caputo of the 71 Precinct arrived at the Midwood Street residence after construction workers at the location called 911. The workers stopped a former resident from gaining access to a locked room and needed assistance when the man became irate. The officers arrested the man after determining that the suspect was wanted for a prior assault. Further investigation by field intelligence officers at the precinct determined that there may be guns inside the home. A subsequent search resulted in the recovery of 11 firearms.

Charges: Criminal Possession of a Weapon (numerous counts), Assault, Criminal Trespass
