15-Year-Old Boy Accused of New Year’s Day Shooting in Brooklyn

NYPD Housing Cops arrested a teenager in possession of a loaded handgun after they observed him shooting at people New Year’s Day in Brooklyn. Police Officers Napoli, Lebron, Leclair and Maldonado from Police Service Area 3 were patrolling the Breevort Houses in unmarked police vehicles when they observed the teenage boy standing in front of 295 Ralph Avenue firing a gun towards two other males.

The officers observed the suspect chase the victims into the Breevort Houses and quickly exited their vehicle to pursue the suspect on foot. As the officers approached the suspect they observed him tossing a firearm to the floor.

The 15-year-old suspect was apprehended in the rear of 274 Ralph Avenue. The teen was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
