LEWSITON, Maine – A teenage girl has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Lewiston.
On Sunday, around 8:30 pm, Officers were called to the area of 76 Knox St for a report of shots fired.
A 22-year-old man was found at the scene with a gunshot wound to his thigh. He was taken to a hospital with what is believed to be a non-life-threatening injury.
Detectives worked the case throughout the night and have arrested a 15-year-old girl and charged her with elevated aggravated assault. Her name was not released due to her being a juvenile.
The victim’s name was also not revealed. Police didn’t specify a any relation between the suspect and the victim.
