20-Year-Old Woman, 15-Year-Old Boy Killed At North Carolina Birthday Party

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. — The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office says two people were fatally shot at a birthday party early Sunday:

On Sunday, March 13, 2022 at approximately 12:38 am, Robeson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 1100 block of Jones Rd., Pembroke in reference to two (2) individuals who were shot while attending a birthday party.

Randi D. Hunt, 20, of Rowland was found deceased upon the arrival of the deputies. A fifteen year old male was transported to an undisclosed medical center where his condition is listed as critical.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division is investigating the case. The Pembroke Police Department also responded to the scene.


The fifteen-year-old boy later died at the hospital.

“As with a few previous shootings in this country, we have a crowd of people on scene that witnessed this act that need to come forward with the truth,” said Sheriff Burnis Wilkins. “Detectives have been out all night and are working the case as this release is prepared. The fact is, the truth will prevail in this case and suspects are known. DO NOT become involved in this case as an accessory before or after the fact. Simply come forward with the truth.”
