COLLINS, Iowa – The Story County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after three people were found dead in a travel trailer Tuesday morning. Officials say the victims lived there.
Deputies responded to the scene in the 700 block of 1st Avenue around 8:00 a.m. to perform a welfare check and made the discovery.
According to WHO, the deceased ‘are a 62-year-old female, 41-year-old female, and a 20-year-old male.’ Three dogs were also found dead.
There were no signs of foul play and investigators believe carbon monoxide poisoning may be the cause.
No further details were released.
