3 Schools Placed On Lockdown Following South LA Robbery, Shooting

The robbery and shooting took place at 7:25 a.m. at 41 Street and Avalon Boulevard, near a recycling business, the Los Angeles Police Department said. The suspect was described as a Black man, 20 to 30 years old, with possible tattoos on his face. The LAPD placed Harmony and Wadsworth elementary schools and Wanda Mikes Primary Center on lockdown as a precaution.
