Modesto, CA – Officers responded to a 9-1-1 call yesterday at about 4:45 AM from a caller stating her daughter was bleeding and that she would be transporting her to the emergency room.
Responding officers learned that the 32-year-old victim had been stabbed multiple times in the head and back area while sitting in the suspect’s car in front of her residence.
The victim managed to escape from the car before the suspect fled the area and was able to seek help from her mother who was inside the home.
With the assistance of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office, officers identified 29-year-old Raymond Amador as the suspect involved in the stabbing.
The victim underwent emergency surgery at a local hospital where she is listed in critical condition.
He was taken into custody at a residence in Hughson and booked into the Stanislaus County Jail for attempted murder.
The relationship between the victim and the suspect was not known.
