Child Arrested For High School Shooting Threat

COLUMBUS -- Police at Ohio State University are investigating a 'self-inflicted shooting' that happened at the Wexner Arts Center for Arts Sunday.

Ventura, CA. — On Tuesday, around 8:00 AM, the Camarillo Police Department was dispatched to a shooting threat made over social media against the campus of Adolfo Camarillo High School, in Camarillo.

Patrol deputies responded to the scene and were assisted in the investigation by the Camarillo Police Department’s Community Resource Unit and Detective Bureau. Detectives were able to quickly identify and determine the location of the juvenile suspect and an arrest was made in Port Hueneme.

The juvenile, who was not a student of Adolfo Camarillo High School, admitted to sending a threat via social media and stated that it was not a credible threat but only a joke.

The juvenile suspect was booked into the Juvenile Justice Center for making criminal threats.
