NEW YORK — Cops in Brooklyn arrested six people and recovered illegal guns and drugs after responding to a 911 call of shots fired last Friday evening. An investigation at the scene led responding officers to 790 Eldert Lane, Apartment #8G.
As officers engaged the occupants of the apartment through the locked apartment door, officers outside the building observed a man throw a firearm from the balcony of the apartment.
Officers then observed a second man throw a plastic bag from the balcony of the apartment that was found to contain a silver .25 caliber Raven Arms semi-automatic handgun and black .38 caliber Taurus Revolver on the top level of an adjacent parking garage.
The team of officers further observed a third man place a plastic bag that contained a loaded Taurus .380 caliber semi-automatic handgun onto the balcony of an adjoining apartment.
Through further communication with the officers on scene, the occupants of the apartment surrendered to police without further incident. A pistol-grip shotgun was recovered from the living room floor of the apartment.
A search warrant for the apartment was obtained, which resulted in the recovery of more than three pounds of Marijuana, cocaine residue, .22 caliber and .9 mm ammunition and $1,329 in cash. Six men were arrested and charged.
