6 Children Dead, More Injured After Multi-Vehicle Crash In Middle Tennessee

Officials reported that a car accident occurred on a Tennessee highway in the early hours of Sunday, resulting in the tragic deaths of six girls, including a one-year-old baby.

When first responders arrived at the scene on I-24 in Robertson County, which is approximately 30 miles north of Nashville, they discovered an overturned vehicle with significant damage.

According to the Robertson County Emergency Medical Services department, the six girls, whose ages ranged from one to recently eighteen, were believed to have been ejected from the car and subsequently passed away.

The department did not provide specific details on the victims’ ages. Additionally, two adults were injured, including a critically injured woman who seemed to have been thrown from the car and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville via a medical helicopter.

A man who claimed to have been in the car suffered minor injuries and was taken to TriStar Skyline Trauma Center in Nashville. The victims were not immediately identified, and their relationship to one another was unknown.

Another vehicle was also discovered near the damaged car, but the driver appeared to be unharmed.

Four Advanced Life Support ambulances and one air ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

As of early Monday morning, the reason for the accident remained unclear.
