The NFL running back was charged with negligent injury to a child for hitting his son with a wooden ‘switch’. He took a plea deal in the case and received a fine of $4,000 and was ordered to complete parenting classes along with 80 hours of community service.

“I truly regret this incident. I take full responsibility for my actions… I’m just glad this is over and I can put this behind me.”, Peterson said. No word yet if he will be reinstated to be an active player in the National Football League.
