February 20, 2014 (PARK RIDGE, Ill.) (WLS) — An Amber Alert was issued for Drake Whitker, 5, by the Park Ridge Police Department after he was taken during a carjacking in the northwest suburb.
The boy is described as 3’6″ and weighing 38 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a black polo coat.
The Park Ridge Police Department requested the Amber Alert around 12:20 p.m. Thursday. An officer told a neighbor that the boy’s mother told police she had left Drake inside the family’s car while she ran inside the home in the 1700-block of Good in Park Ridge. When she came back, the car was gone with Drake inside.
Officials are calling it a carjacking.
Police are looking for a white 2012 Audi Q5 with Illinois license R843615.
The suspect is described as a black male wearing a blue jacket and jeans.
