New Zealand — Armed police in SWAT gear were responding to a report of “people with firearms” in Lower Hutt on Wednesday, according to The Dominion Post.
The scene is at Harrison Crescent. There is a massive police presence in the area. People are asked to avoid the area. No further details were available.
“Police, including the Armed Offenders Squad, is currently on site at a location in Harrison Crescent, Lower Hutt responding to sightings of persons with firearms,” police said is a statement, “Cordons are in place…”
