Police said a third person was seeing running from the scene, who was detained. It is not known if the person is connected to the shooting.

The DailyBeast reports: “Farook, who also went by his middle name, Raheel, was a business taxes representative for the California State Board of Equalization, according to his LinkedIn profile. He is a 2003 graduate La Sierra High School, and most recently studied finance at California State University Fullerton until 2013.

Syed Farook is listed as an environmental health specialist with San Bernardino County, making $58,00 a year.

The other suspect, as well as the victims, have not been identified.

Authorities called the mass shooting a case of domestic terrorism, adding the shooters, who came prepared with long guns, ‘were on a mission’ and ‘came with a purpose’ to a center for the developmentally disabled during a party. Police did not report a motive.

Armed police were captured on live TV surrounding a black SUV near the Cornerstone Assembly of God church on San Bernardino Avenue – a mile and a half from the Inland Regional Center where the shooting occurred.

A source told CNN that the suspects threw pipe bombs out of the windows of the vehicle before the shootout with police. The vehicle was captured on broadcast helicopters with its windows apparently completely shot out.

Sources also told CNN that it is more than likely that the couple were radicalized after it was discovered they were in touch with more than one international terrorist subjects.

At a press conference held at 2pm, Burguan said authorities have no identification on the suspects and do not know the motive behind the bloodshed.

At a later press conference held around 10:15 pm, Authorities confirmed the suspects used Smith and Wesson AR 15’s in addition to Llama pistols.

‘The information we have is that they came prepared to do what they did as if they were on a mission,’ Burguan said. ‘At minimum, we have a domestic terrorist-type situation here. They came prepared to do what they did, as if they were on a mission.’

The San Bernardino Fire Department tweeted at around 11am local time that first responders were on the scene in 1300 block of South Waterman Avenue.

The shooting occurred at the Inland Regional Center, a non-profit organization for people with disabilities.

The organization has 670 employees and works with more than 30,000 people in San Bernardino and Riverside to help normalize their lives, according to the center’s Facebook page.

Marybeth Feild, the president and CEO of the Inland Regional Center, said the shooting happened in the conference area of a building that houses at least 25 employees as well as a library.

A day before the shooting, the San Bernardino center hosted a children’s Christmas party.
