Attempted Rapist at Large In NYC, Police Say

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached video and photograph in connection to an attempted rape that occurred within the confines of the 115 Precinct. Details are as follows:

It was reported to police that on Sunday April 16, 2017, at approximately 4:40 a.m. in the vicinity of 74 Street and 37 Avenue, the individual approached the 35 year-old female victim from behind, pulled her backwards by her arms and punched her in the back of the head numerous times. When the victim fell to the ground the individual dragged her over to a fence where he attempted to sexually assault her. The victim managed to fight off the individual and ran away towards 37 Avenue where she sought help from a passing motorist. The individual fled northbound on 74 Street with the victim’s purse. The victim suffered bruising and abrasions to her head and torso and was removed to Elmhurst General Hospital in stable condition.

The individual is described as a:

Male Hispanic, 30 to 35 years old, 5’5″, medium build; last seen wearing a white jacket, a green shirt, black shoes and light colored pants.
