Baltimore residents have been left outraged and bemused after streets still remain buried in snow.

The streets of Baltimore are still only partially passable after the city failed to effectively plow the streets.

The people have vented their outrage after they continue to struggle to get their daily lives and businesses back to normal.

Many of the other counties within Maryland have been able to resume their normal routines, it appears that Baltimore city is the exception.

One thing that seems to be apparent is the lack of accountability in the city for this catastrophic failure.

To rub salt into the wound, the City of Baltimore has now announced that if people don’t shovel their paths and sidewalks, they will be fined a total of $50.

A candidate for the 5th District City Council Seat has decided to fight back, Isaac ‘Yitzy’ Schleifer said:

“I am so frustrated by the lack of progress, that I have decided to make the following offer, If you are elderly or handicapped, reside on an unplowed street in the 5th District, and you receive a fine from the City of Baltimore for failure to shovel your snow, I will either obtain legal representation for you to fight the fine, or pay the fine on your behalf. This is unacceptable, we can do better!”

Many homes that have have not had their sidewalks shoveled are some of the most vulnerable people in society and either cannot physically shovel the snow or simply do not have the resources to get someone do it for them.

Residents of Baltimore have taken to social media to vent their anger at the city for imposing fines and failing to even attempt to clear most roads within the city.
