MARYLAND — On March 21, 2016, Warrant Apprehension Task-Force detectives arrested 25 year-old Brittany Montgomery for the death of her 4 year-old daughter Szki Wright.
On August 28, 2015 at about 7:52 p.m., police and fire department personnel were called to the 800 block of Dartmouth Road for a reported apartment fire.
As a result of the fire, three children were transported to area hospitals for treatment. A 1 year-old male sustained burns to more than 30% of his body and a 3 year-old female sustained minor injuries.
Tragically, 4 year-old Szki Wright died from her injuries.
Through investigation, detectives learned that Brittany Montgomery left her children alone and was visiting friends when the fire occurred.
Montgomery was charged with Manslaughter, three counts of child neglect and three counts of leaving minors unattended.
