It’s a tragic incident in Florida where a 2-year-old boy, Taylen Mosley, was found dead after being reported missing. The authorities found his body in the mouth of an alligator in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The incident came to light after the boy’s mother, Pashun Jeffery, 20, was found dead in her apartment with multiple stab wounds on Thursday afternoon. The police have arrested Taylen’s father, Thomas Mosley, for both deaths, and he is facing two counts of first-degree murder.

The police found an alligator in Dell Homes Park, which was a few miles away from the apartment where Jeffery was found dead. The officers fired a single round at the reptile and retrieved an object from its mouth. To their dismay, it was Taylen’s body, intact. St. Petersburg Police Chief Anthony Holloway said, “We didn’t want to find him this way, but at least we can bring some closure to that family now.”

Thomas was taken to the hospital for the cuts on his hands and arms, and he was later booked in the Pinellas County jail. Online jail records show that he did not want to speak to authorities and requested an attorney.

The investigation is still ongoing, and the authorities have not yet released information on Taylen’s cause of death or how he ended up in the park.
